What Bible versions are available in audio format?
You can see a list of available audio Bibles here.
What software is required to listen to the audio Bibles?
It depends on the audio format of the Bible you want to listen to. To listen to a Bible in RealAudio format, you need to have installed a media player capable of playing audio files in RealAudio (http://www.real.com/). To listen to a Bible in Flash, you need to have the Flash plugin for your web browser installed (get.adobe.com/flashplayer/).
Can I queue up more than one Bible passage to listen to subsequently?
No. However, most Bibles also include links to listen to the "All chapters," "Old Testament," "New Testament," or "Entire Bible". Some versions (such as the NIV) have some listening restrictions due to copyright considerations. For more information on listening to the audio Bibles, visit the audio Bible help page.
Why does the audio of the New International Version skip?
We are aware of some skipping and other audio problems with our online recording of the NIV, as read by Max McLean. Our CD masters are damaged, and we are currently getting them replaced so that we can begin the labor intensive process of re-digitizing this reading of the Scripture. Until that time, we apologize and hope that the occasional flaws will not cause you frustration.
