¹² Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted^(A) the prophets who were before you.^(B)

²¹ But they will do all these things to you on account of my name,^(A) because they don’t know^(B) the one who sent me.

¹³ Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ,^(A) so that you may also rejoice with great joy when his glory is revealed.^(B)
