Zechariah 12:5-7
1599 Geneva Bible
5 And the princes of Judah shall say in their hearts, The [a]inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the princes of Judah like coals of fire among the wood, and like a firebrand in the sheaf, and they shall devour all the people round about on the right hand, and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
7 The Lord also shall preserve the [b]tents of Judah, as afore time: therefore the glory of the house of David shall not boast, nor the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem against Judah.

- Zechariah 12:5 Every captain, that had many under him afore, shall now think that the small power of Jerusalem shall be sufficient to defend them against all enemies, because the Lord is among them.
- Zechariah 12:7 The people which are now as it were dispersed by the fields, and lie open to their enemies, shall be no less preserved by my power, than if they were under their kings (which is meant by the house of David) or in their defensed cities.
