1 Peter 4:3-5
International Children’s Bible
3 In the past you wasted too much time doing what the non-believers like to do. You lived for the body and evil desires. You were getting drunk, you had wild and drunken parties, and you did wrong by worshiping idols. 4 Non-believers think it is strange that you do not do the many wild and wasteful things that they do. And so they insult you. 5 But they will have to explain about what they have done. They must explain to God who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

3 For you have spent enough time in the past(A) doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.(B) 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.(C) 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.(D)
