18 So (A)the two of them cut a covenant before Yahweh; and David stayed at Horesh while Jonathan went to his house.
19 Then (B)Ziphites came up to Saul at Gibeah, saying, “Is David not hiding with us in the strongholds at Horesh, on (C)the hill of Hachilah, which is on the [a]south of [b]Jeshimon? 20 So now, O king, according to all the desire of your soul to come down, come down here; and (D)our part shall be to surrender him into the king’s hand.”

19 The Ziphites(B) went up to Saul at Gibeah and said, “Is not David hiding among us(C) in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hakilah,(D) south of Jeshimon? 20 Now, Your Majesty, come down whenever it pleases you to do so, and we will be responsible for giving(E) him into your hands.”
