⁶He held fast^(A) to the Lord and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses.

⁶For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.

⁷And the Lord was with him; he was successful^(A) in whatever he undertook. He rebelled^(B) against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.

⁷And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

²⁹He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.^(A)

²⁹Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.
