⁸ Then he brought all the priests from the cities of Judah and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from ^(A)Geba to Beersheba; and he tore down the high places of the gates which were at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the ruler of the city, which were on one’s left at the city gate. ⁹ Nevertheless ^(B)the priests of the high places did not go up to the altar of Yahweh in Jerusalem, but they ate unleavened bread among their brothers.

²⁶ Her ^(A)priests have done violence to My law and have ^(B)profaned My holy things; they have made no ^(C)separation between the holy and the profane, and they have not made known the difference between the ^(D)unclean and the clean; and they hide their eyes from My sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

¹² Because they ministered to them ^(A)before their idols and became a ^(B)stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have ^[a](C)sworn against them,” declares Lord Yahweh, “that they shall ^(D)bear the punishment for their iniquity.
