4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit was giving[b] the uttering[c] to them. 5 Now there were Jews dwelling in Jerusalem, reverent men from every nation under heaven. 6 And this sound having taken place, the crowd came together and was confounded[d] because they were each one hearing them speaking in his own language!

New International Version
4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(A) and began to speak in other tongues[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(C) Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.
