5 Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, (C)devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And when (D)this sound occurred, the crowd came together, and were bewildered because each one of them was hearing them speak in his own [c]language.

4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(A) and began to speak in other tongues[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(C) Jews from every nation under heaven. 6 When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken.
