²⁵Now I realized that he had not done anything deserving of death, but when he himself appealed to the Emperor, I decided to send him.^(A)

Acts 25:25

New International Version

²⁵I found he had done nothing deserving of death,^(A) but because he made his appeal to the Emperor^(B) I decided to send him to Rome.

²⁵But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

³¹and when they had left they talked with each other and said, “This man is doing nothing that deserves death or chains.”^(A)

³¹After they left the room, they began saying to one another, “This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment.”^(A)

³¹And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
