16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink, and gave them pulse.

17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge, and understanding in all learning [a]and wisdom: also he gave Daniel understanding of all [b]visions and dreams.

18 Now when the time [c]was expired, that the King had appointed to bring them in, the chief of the Eunuchs brought them before Nebuchadnezzar.
