⁷ He called the place Massah^[a] and Meribah,^[b] because the Israelites quarreled and tested the Lord, saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”^(A)

³ So that place was called Taberah,^[a] because the fire of the Lord burned against them.

³⁴ So that place was called Kibroth-hattaavah,^[a] because there they buried the people who had the craving.^(A)
