Now therefore, behold, (A)the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the (B)oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. 10 (C)Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

11 But Moses said to God, (D)“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”

12 So He said, (E)“I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a (F)sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”

14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, (G)‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is (H)My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’

And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing(A) them. 10 So now, go. I am sending(B) you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”(C)

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I(D) that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12 And God said, “I will be with you.(E) And this will be the sign(F) to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[a] will worship God on this mountain.(G)

13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’(H) Then what shall I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[b] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am(I) has sent me to you.’”

15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,[c] the God of your fathers(J)—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob(K)—has sent me to you.’

“This is my name(L) forever,
    the name you shall call me
    from generation to generation.(M)
