9 I will use my power against the prophets who see false visions and predict things that don’t come true. They will not help my people make decisions or be recorded in the records of the nation of Israel. They won’t even enter Israel. Then you will know that I am Adonay Yahweh.
10 “‘They have deceived my people by saying that everything is alright, but it’s not alright. When someone builds a flimsy wall, the prophets cover it up with paint. 11 Tell those who cover up the wall with paint that their wall will fall down. Rain will pour down, hailstones will fall on it, and stormy winds will break it to pieces.

9 My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying(A) divinations. They will not belong to the council of my people or be listed in the records(B) of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.(C)
10 “‘Because they lead my people astray,(D) saying, “Peace,”(E) when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover it with whitewash,(F) 11 therefore tell those who cover it with whitewash that it is going to fall. Rain will come in torrents, and I will send hailstones(G) hurtling down,(H) and violent winds will burst forth.(I)
