³¹ They come to you as people come and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their ^(A)mouth, and their heart goes after their ^(B)greedy gain.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, sexual immoralities, thefts, murders, adulteries, ²² coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, ^[a](A)envy, slander, ^[b]pride, and foolishness.

¹⁵ Then He said to them, “^(A)Watch out and be on your guard against every form of greed, for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.”

⁵ Make sure that your way of life is ^(A)free from the love of money, ^(B)being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “^(C)I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,”
