47 So he measured the court, a hundred cubits long, and a hundred cubits wide, foursquare. And the altar was before the temple.

The Vestibule of the Temple

48 Then he brought me to the vestibule of the temple and measured each post of the vestibule, five cubits[a] on this side, and five cubits on that side. And the width of the gate was three cubits[b] on this side and three cubits on that side. 49 The length of the vestibule was twenty cubits[c] and the width eleven cubits.[d] And he brought me by the steps whereby they went up to it. And there were pillars by the posts, one on this side and another on that side.

The New Temple

48 He brought me to the portico of the temple(B) and measured the jambs of the portico; they were five cubits wide on either side. The width of the entrance was fourteen cubits[a] and its projecting walls were[b] three cubits[c] wide on either side. 49 The portico(C) was twenty cubits[d] wide, and twelve[e] cubits[f] from front to back. It was reached by a flight of stairs,[g] and there were pillars(D) on each side of the jambs.
