Genesis 44:32-34
New American Standard Bible 1995
32 For your servant (A)became surety for the lad to my father, saying, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, then [a]let me bear the blame before my father forever.’ 33 Now, therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the lad a slave to my lord, and let the lad go up with his brothers. 34 For how shall I go up to my father if the lad is not with me—for fear that I see the evil that would [b]overtake my father?”

Genesis 44:32-34
New International Version
32 Your servant guaranteed the boy’s safety to my father. I said, ‘If I do not bring him back to you, I will bear the blame before you, my father, all my life!’(A)
33 “Now then, please let your servant remain here as my lord’s slave(B) in place of the boy,(C) and let the boy return with his brothers. 34 How can I go back to my father if the boy is not with me? No! Do not let me see the misery(D) that would come on my father.”(E)
