35 (A)Through faith women received their dead relatives raised back to life.
Others, refusing to accept freedom, died under torture in order to be raised to a better life. 36 (B)Some were mocked and whipped, and others were put in chains and taken off to prison.

New International Version
35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again.(A) There were others who were tortured, refusing to be released so that they might gain an even better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging,(B) and even chains and imprisonment.(C)
