¹⁷ And the ^(A)Light of Israel will become a fire and ^[a]Israel’s ^(B)Holy One a flame,
And it will ^(C)burn and devour ^[b]his thorns and his briars in a single day.

⁹ I will ^(A)not carry out My fierce anger;
I will not destroy Ephraim ^(B)again.
For ^(C)I am God and not a man, the ^(D)Holy One in your midst,
And I will not come in ^[a]wrath.

¹² Are You not from ^(A)time everlasting,
Lord, my God, my Holy One?
We will not die.
You, Lord, have ^(B)appointed them to deliver judgment;
And You, O ^(C)Rock, have destined them to punish.

³ God comes from ^(A)Teman,
And the Holy One from Mount ^(B)Paran. Selah
His ^(C)splendor covers the heavens,
And the ^(D)earth is full of His praise.
