16 (A)For before the boy will know to refuse evil and choose good, (B)the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken. 17 Yahweh will bring on you, on your people, and on your father’s house days which have never come since the day that (C)Ephraim separated from Judah—the (D)king of Assyria!”

18 And it will be in that day, that Yahweh will (E)whistle for the fly that is in the [a](F)remotest part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

16 for before the boy knows(A) enough to reject the wrong and choose the right,(B) the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste.(C) 17 The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away(D) from Judah—he will bring the king of Assyria.(E)”
