12 I will see to it that all the Judean remnant that was determined to go[a] and live in the land of Egypt will be destroyed. Here in the land of Egypt they will fall in battle[b] or perish from starvation. People of every class[c] will die in war or from starvation. They will become an object of horror and ridicule, an example of those who have been cursed and that people use in pronouncing a curse.[d]

12 I will take away the remnant(A) of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or die from famine. From the least to the greatest,(B) they will die by sword or famine.(C) They will become a curse and an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach.(D)
