6 “‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal(A) my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace(B) and security. 7 I will bring Judah(C) and Israel back from captivity[a](D) and will rebuild(E) them as they were before.(F) 8 I will cleanse(G) them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive(H) all their sins of rebellion against me. 9 Then this city will bring me renown,(I) joy, praise(J) and honor(K) before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble(L) at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’

6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands.(A) And his commands are not burdensome,(B) 4 for everyone born of God(C) overcomes(D) the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.(E)
6 This is the one who came by water and blood(F)—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.(G) 7 For there are three(H) that testify: 8 the[a] Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9 We accept human testimony,(I) but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God,(J) which he has given about his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony.(K) Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar,(L) because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life,(M) and this life is in his Son.(N) 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.(O)

4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
