If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me(A)
    and use my humiliation against me,
then know that God has wronged me(B)
    and drawn his net(C) around me.(D)

“Though I cry, ‘Violence!’ I get no response;(E)
    though I call for help,(F) there is no justice.(G)
He has blocked my way so I cannot pass;(H)
    he has shrouded my paths in darkness.(I)
He has stripped(J) me of my honor(K)
    and removed the crown from my head.(L)
10 He tears me down(M) on every side till I am gone;
    he uproots my hope(N) like a tree.(O)
11 His anger(P) burns against me;
    he counts me among his enemies.(Q)
12 His troops advance in force;(R)
    they build a siege ramp(S) against me
    and encamp around my tent.(T)

13 “He has alienated my family(U) from me;
    my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.(V)

Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.

Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.

He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

10 He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.

11 He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.

12 His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.

13 He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
