17 His (A)disciples remembered that it was written: “(B)Zeal for Your house will consume me.” 18 (C)The Jews then said to Him, “(D)What sign do You show us [a]as your authority for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered them, “(E)Destroy this [b]temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 (F)The Jews then said, “It took (G)forty-six years to build this [c]temple, and yet You will raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking about (H)the [d]temple of His body. 22 So when He was raised from the dead, His (I)disciples (J)remembered that He said this; and they believed (K)the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at (L)the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name as they (M)observed His signs which He was doing. 24 But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, because (N)He knew all people, 25 and because He did not need anyone to testify about mankind, (O)for He Himself knew what was in mankind.

17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”[a](A)
18 The Jews(B) then responded to him, “What sign(C) can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”(D)
19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”(E)
20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.(F) 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said.(G) Then they believed the scripture(H) and the words that Jesus had spoken.
23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival,(I) many people saw the signs(J) he was performing and believed(K) in his name.[b] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind,(L) for he knew what was in each person.(M)
