5 And when Jesus lifted up His eyes and saw a great company coming unto Him, He said unto Philip, “Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?”
6 And this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.”

5 When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip,(A) “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” 6 He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.
7 Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages[a] to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”
