4 So the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to meet the Philistines in battle, and they camped beside ^(A)Ebenezer, while the Philistines camped in ^(B)Aphek.

Another Aramean War

²⁶ So ^(A)at ^[a]the turn of the year Ben-hadad mustered the Arameans and went up to ^(B)Aphek to fight against Israel.

³⁰ But the rest fled to ^(A)Aphek into the city, and the wall fell on twenty-seven thousand men who were left. And Ben-hadad fled and came into the city, going from one ^(B)inner room to another.
