¹⁷^(A)Gilead stayed beyond the Jordan,
And why did Dan remain ^[a]on ships?
^(B)Asher continued at the seashore,
And stayed by his inlets.

¹⁷Gilead^(A) stayed beyond the Jordan.
And Dan, why did he linger by the ships?
Asher^(B) remained on the coast^(C)
and stayed in his coves.

²³And the men of Israel gathered together from ^(A)Naphtali, Asher, and all Manasseh, and pursued the Midianites.
