Lamentations 3:53-55

New International Version

⁵³They tried to end my life in a pit^(A)
and threw stones at me;
⁵⁴the waters closed over my head,^(B)
and I thought I was about to perish.^(C)

⁵⁵I called on your name, Lord,
from the depths^(D) of the pit.^(E)

⁵⁴Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.

⁵⁵I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the low dungeon.
