9 În ziua(A) a opta, Moise a chemat pe Aaron şi pe fiii lui, şi pe bătrânii lui Israel. 2 Şi a zis lui Aaron: „Ia(B) un viţel pentru jertfa de ispăşire şi(C) un berbec pentru arderea-de-tot, amândoi fără cusur, şi adu-i înaintea Domnului. 3 Să vorbeşti copiilor lui Israel şi să le spui: ‘Luaţi(D) un ţap pentru jertfa de ispăşire, un viţel şi un miel de un an şi fără cusur pentru arderea-de-tot; 4 un taur şi un berbec pentru jertfa de mulţumire, ca să-i jertfiţi înaintea Domnului, şi un(E) dar de mâncare frământat cu untdelemn. Căci azi vi se(F) va arăta Domnul’.” 5 Ei au adus înaintea cortului întâlnirii tot ce poruncise Moise, şi toată adunarea s-a apropiat şi a stat înaintea Domnului. 6 Moise a zis: „Să faceţi ce a poruncit Domnul, şi vi se va arăta(G) slava Domnului.” 7 Moise a zis lui Aaron: „Apropie-te de altar, adu-ţi(H) jertfa ta de ispăşire şi arderea-de-tot a ta şi fă ispăşire pentru tine şi pentru popor; adu(I) şi jertfa poporului şi fă ispăşire pentru el, cum a poruncit Domnul.” 8 Aaron s-a apropiat de altar şi a junghiat viţelul pentru jertfa lui de ispăşire. 9 Fiii(J) lui Aaron i-au adus sângele la el; el şi-a muiat degetul în sânge, a uns(K) coarnele altarului, iar celălalt sânge l-a turnat la picioarele altarului. 10 A ars pe altar grăsimea(L), rărunchii şi prapurul ficatului de la viţelul pentru jertfa de ispăşire, cum(M) poruncise lui Moise Domnul. 11 Iar carnea(N) şi pielea le-a ars în foc afară din tabără. 12 A junghiat apoi arderea-de-tot. Fiii lui Aaron i-au adus sângele la el, şi el l-a stropit(O) pe altar de jur împrejur. 13 I-au adus(P) şi arderea-de-tot tăiată în bucăţi, cu cap cu tot, şi a ars-o pe altar. 14 A spălat(Q) măruntaiele şi picioarele şi le-a ars pe altar, deasupra arderii-de-tot. 15 În urmă, a adus(R) jertfa pentru popor. A luat ţapul pentru jertfa de ispăşire a poporului, l-a junghiat şi l-a adus jertfă de ispăşire, ca şi pe cea dintâi jertfă. 16 A adus apoi arderea-de-tot şi a jertfit-o, după(S) rânduielile aşezate. 17 A adus şi jertfa de mâncare(T), a umplut un pumn din ea şi a ars-o pe altar, afară de(U) arderea-de-tot de dimineaţă. 18 A junghiat apoi taurul şi berbecul ca jertfă(V) de mulţumire pentru popor. Fiii lui Aaron au adus sângele la el, şi el a stropit pe altar de jur împrejur. 19 I-au adus apoi grăsimea taurului şi a berbecului, coada, grăsimea care acoperă măruntaiele, rărunchii şi prapurul ficatului; 20 au pus grăsimile acestea deasupra piepturilor şi el a ars(W) grăsimile pe altar. 21 Aaron a legănat într-o parte şi într-alta, ca dar(X) legănat înaintea Domnului, piepturile şi spata dreaptă, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

22 Aaron şi-a ridicat mâinile spre popor şi l-a binecuvântat(Y). Apoi, după ce a adus jertfa de ispăşire, arderea-de-tot şi jertfa de mulţumire, s-a pogorât. 23 Moise şi Aaron au intrat în cortul întâlnirii. Când au ieşit din el, au binecuvântat poporul. Şi slava(Z) Domnului s-a arătat întregului popor. 24 Un foc(AA) a ieşit dinaintea Domnului şi a mistuit pe altar arderea-de-tot şi grăsimile. Tot poporul a văzut lucrul acesta; au scos strigăte(AB) de bucurie şi s-au aruncat cu faţa la pământ.

9 În cea de-a opta zi, Moise i-a convocat pe Aaron, pe fiii săi şi pe cei din sfatul bătrânilor lui Israel. 2 El i-a zis lui Aaron: „Ia un viţel pentru o jertfă pentru păcat şi un berbec fără meteahnă pentru o ardere de tot şi adu-i înaintea Domnului. 3 Iar israeliţilor să le spui să ia un ţap pentru o jertfă pentru păcat, un viţel şi un miel de un an, fără meteahnă, pentru o ardere de tot, 4 un bou[a] şi un berbec pentru o jertfă de pace şi să-i aducă înaintea Domnului; de asemenea, să aducă şi un dar de mâncare amestecat cu ulei, căci astăzi li Se va arăta Domnul.“ 5 Israeliţii au adus în faţa Cortului Întâlnirii ce a poruncit Moise şi toată adunarea s-a apropiat şi a stat înaintea Domnului. 6 Moise le-a zis: „Acesta este lucrul pe care Domnul vi l-a poruncit să-l faceţi, pentru ca slava Domnului să vi se arate.“
7 Apoi Moise i-a zis lui Aaron: „Apropie-te de altar şi adu jertfa pentru păcatul tău şi arderea ta de tot şi fă ispăşire pentru tine şi pentru popor; după aceea, adu şi jertfa poporului şi fă ispăşire pentru el, aşa cum a poruncit Domnul.“
8 Aaron s-a apropiat de altar şi a înjunghiat viţelul adus ca jertfă pentru păcat; acesta era pentru el. 9 Fiii lui Aaron i-au adus sângele, iar el a luat cu degetul din sânge şi a uns coarnele altarului; restul sângelui l-a turnat la baza altarului. 10 Dar grăsimea, rinichii şi membrana ficatului de la jertfa pentru păcat le-a ars pe altar, aşa cum i-a poruncit Domnul lui Moise. 11 Carnea şi pielea le-a ars în afara taberei.
12 Apoi a înjunghiat arderea de tot. Fiii lui Aaron i-au adus sângele şi el l-a stropit pe altar, de jur împrejur. 13 I-au adus arderea de tot tăiată în bucăţi, cu tot cu cap, şi el le-a ars pe altar. 14 A spălat măruntaiele şi picioarele şi le-a ars pe altar, deasupra arderii de tot.
15 După aceea Aaron a adus jertfa poporului. A luat ţapul care trebuia adus ca jertfă pentru păcatul poporului, l-a înjunghiat, după care l-a adus ca jertfă pentru păcat, ca şi pe cea dintâi jertfă.
16 A adus apoi arderea de tot şi a jertfit-o potrivit poruncii. 17 A adus darul de mâncare, a luat un pumn de făină din el şi a ars-o pe altar, pe lângă arderea de tot de dimineaţă. 18 După aceea a înjunghiat boul şi berbecul ca jertfă de pace pentru popor. Fiii lui Aaron i-au adus sângele şi el l-a stropit pe altar, de jur împrejur. 19 I-au adus apoi grăsimea boului şi a berbecului: grăsimea cozilor, grăsimea de pe măruntaie, rinichii şi grăsimea de pe ei, membranele de pe ficaţi. 20 Au pus grăsimea deasupra piepţilor, iar Aaron a ars această grăsime pe altar. 21 După aceea, a legănat piepţii şi spata dreaptă ca jertfă legănată înaintea Domnului, aşa cum a poruncit Moise.
22 Aaron şi-a ridicat mâinile spre popor şi l-a binecuvântat. Apoi Aaron s-a coborât din locul în care a adus jertfa pentru păcat, arderea de tot şi jertfa de pace.
23 Moise şi Aaron au intrat în Cortul Întâlnirii, iar când au ieşit, au binecuvântat poporul. Atunci slava Domnului s-a arătat întregului popor. 24 Un foc a ieşit dinaintea Domnului şi a mistuit arderea de tot şi grăsimea de pe altar. Tot poporul a văzut lucrul acesta, a chiuit de bucurie şi a căzut cu faţa la pământ.

The Priests Begin Their Ministry
9 On the eighth day(A) Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders(B) of Israel. 2 He said to Aaron, “Take a bull calf for your sin offering[a] and a ram for your burnt offering, both without defect, and present them before the Lord. 3 Then say to the Israelites: ‘Take a male goat(C) for a sin offering,(D) a calf(E) and a lamb(F)—both a year old and without defect—for a burnt offering, 4 and an ox[b](G) and a ram for a fellowship offering(H) to sacrifice before the Lord, together with a grain offering mixed with olive oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.(I)’”
5 They took the things Moses commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the entire assembly came near and stood before the Lord. 6 Then Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the Lord(J) may appear to you.”
7 Moses said to Aaron, “Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people;(K) sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.(L)”
8 So Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering(M) for himself. 9 His sons brought the blood to him,(N) and he dipped his finger into the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.(O) 10 On the altar he burned the fat, the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver from the sin offering, as the Lord commanded Moses; 11 the flesh and the hide(P) he burned up outside the camp.(Q)
12 Then he slaughtered the burnt offering.(R) His sons handed him the blood,(S) and he splashed it against the sides of the altar. 13 They handed him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.(T) 14 He washed the internal organs and the legs and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.(U)
15 Aaron then brought the offering that was for the people.(V) He took the goat for the people’s sin offering and slaughtered it and offered it for a sin offering as he did with the first one.
16 He brought the burnt offering and offered it in the prescribed way.(W) 17 He also brought the grain offering, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning’s burnt offering.(X)
18 He slaughtered the ox and the ram as the fellowship offering for the people.(Y) His sons handed him the blood, and he splashed it against the sides of the altar. 19 But the fat portions of the ox and the ram—the fat tail, the layer of fat, the kidneys and the long lobe of the liver— 20 these they laid on the breasts, and then Aaron burned the fat on the altar. 21 Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh before the Lord as a wave offering,(Z) as Moses commanded.
22 Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them.(AA) And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offering, he stepped down.
23 Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting.(AB) When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord(AC) appeared to all the people. 24 Fire(AD) came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.(AE)
