26 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 27 “When a young bull or a sheep or a goat is brought as an offering, you shall leave it for seven days with its mother. On the eighth day, it shall be acceptable as an offering made by fire to the Lord. 28 You are not to kill a cow or ewe with its young on the same day.

26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “When a calf, a lamb or a goat(A) is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days.(B) From the eighth day(C) on, it will be acceptable(D) as a food offering presented to the Lord. 28 Do not slaughter a cow or a sheep and its young on the same day.(E)
