⁴⁹ And behold, ^(A)I am sending the promise of My Father upon you, but ^(B)you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

³³ And I did not know ^[a]Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘The One upon whom you see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him, ^(A)this is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

²⁶ “When the ^[a](A)Advocate comes, ^(B)whom I will send to you from the Father, ^(C)the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, ^(D)He will bear witness about Me,

⁷ But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the ^[a](A)Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, ^(B)I will send Him to you.

³³ Therefore having been exalted ^[a](A)to the right hand of God, and ^(B)having received from the Father ^(C)the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has ^(D)poured out this which you both see and hear.
