39 And they said to Him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink (A)you shall drink; and you shall be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized. 40 But to sit on My right or on My left, this is not Mine to give; (B)but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.”
41 (C)And hearing this, the ten began to feel indignant with James and John.

39 “We can,” they answered.
Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with,(A) 40 but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”
41 When the ten heard about this, they became indignant with James and John.
