41 And whosoever shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me; it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

42 And if thy hand scandalize thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life, maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into unquenchable fire:

43 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not extinguished.

44 And if thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter lame into life everlasting, than having two feet, to be cast into the hell of unquenchable fire:

45 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not extinguished.

46 And if thy eye scandalize thee, pluck it out. It is better for thee with one eye to enter into the kingdom of God, than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire:

47 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not extinguished.

48 For every one shall be salted with fire: and every victim shall be salted with salt.

49 Salt is good. But if the salt became unsavoury; wherewith will you season it? Have salt in you, and have peace among you.

10 And rising up from thence, he cometh into the coasts of Judea beyond the Jordan: and the multitudes flock to him again. And as he was accustomed, he taught them again.

41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.(A)

Causing to Stumble

42 “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble,(B) it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.(C) 43 If your hand causes you to stumble,(D) cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell,(E) where the fire never goes out.(F) [44] [a] 45 And if your foot causes you to stumble,(G) cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.(H) [46] [b] 47 And if your eye causes you to stumble,(I) pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,(J) 48 where

“‘the worms that eat them do not die,
and the fire is not quenched.’[c](K)

49 Everyone will be salted(L) with fire.

50 “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again?(M) Have salt among yourselves,(N) and be at peace with each other.”(O)

Divorce(P)

10 Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan.(Q) Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.(R)
