⁵³ They^(B) led Jesus away to the high priest,^(C) and all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes^(D) convened.^{(E) 54} Peter^(F) followed Him at a distance, right into the high priest’s courtyard. He was sitting with the temple police,^[a](G) warming himself by the fire.^[b]
