29 Peter said to him, “Even if they all fall away, I will not!” 30 Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth,[a] today—this very night—before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 31 But Peter[b] insisted emphatically,[c] “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.
