Matthew 15:4-6
Holman Christian Standard Bible
4 For God said:[a]
Honor your father and your mother;(A)[b] and,
The one who speaks evil of father or mother
must be put to death.(B)[c]
5 But you say, ‘Whoever tells his father or mother, “Whatever benefit you might have received from me is a gift committed to the temple”— 6 he does not have to honor his father.’[d] In this way, you have revoked God’s word[e] because of your tradition.

Matthew 15:4-6
New International Version
4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’[a](A) and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[b](B) 5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’ 6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
