Matthew 19:11-13
International Children’s Bible
11 Jesus answered, “Not everyone can accept this truth about marriage. But God has made some able to accept it. 12 There are different reasons why some men cannot marry. Some men were born without the ability to become fathers. Others were made that way later in life by other people. And other men have given up marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. But the person who can marry should accept this teaching about marriage.”[a]
Jesus Welcomes Children
13 Then the people brought their little children to Jesus so that he could put his hands on them[b] and pray for them. When his followers saw this, they told the people to stop bringing their children to Jesus.

11 Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given.(A) 12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them(C) and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.
