⁸ Then the Lord said to Moses, “^[a]Make a ^(A)fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.” ⁹ And Moses made a ^(B)bronze serpent and set it on the standard; and it came about, that if a serpent bit any man, when he looked to the bronze serpent, he lived.

¹² O our God, ^(A)will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but ^(B)our eyes are on You.”

God Is the Source of Salvation and Light

¹⁰ “I will ^(A)pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, ^[a]the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have ^(B)pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one ^(C)mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.
