16 Even when I was over in Thessalonica you sent help twice. 17 But though I appreciate your gifts, what makes me happiest is the well-earned reward you will have because of your kindness.

18 At the moment I have all I need—more than I need! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me when Epaphroditus came. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that pleases God well.

16 for even when I was in Thessalonica,(A) you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.(B) 17 Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.(C) 18 I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus(D) the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant(E) offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
