Proverbs 11:15-17
The Voice
15 Trouble compounds when you guarantee a stranger’s debt,
but you’ll be safe if you refuse the pledge.
16 A gracious woman acquires honor,
but cruel people are only interested in acquiring money.
17 Kindness is its own reward,
but cruelty is a self-inflicted wound.
Proverbs 11:15-17
New International Version
15 Whoever puts up security(A) for a stranger will surely suffer,
but whoever refuses to shake hands in pledge is safe.(B)
16 A kindhearted woman gains honor,(C)
but ruthless men gain only wealth.
17 Those who are kind benefit themselves,
but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.
