Proverbs 21:28-30

Good News Translation

²⁸The testimony of a liar is not believed, but the word of someone who thinks matters through is accepted.

²⁹Righteous people are sure of themselves; the wicked have to pretend as best they can.

³⁰Human wisdom, brilliance, insight—they are of no help if the Lord is against you.

Proverbs 21:28-30

²⁸A false witness^(A) will perish,^(B)
but a careful listener will testify successfully.

²⁹The wicked put up a bold front,
but the upright give thought to their ways.^(C)

³⁰There is no wisdom,^(D) no insight, no plan
that can succeed against the Lord.^(E)
