Proverbs 30:9-11
Contemporary English Version
9 If I have too much to eat,
I might forget about you;
if I don't have enough,
I might steal
and disgrace your name.
10 Don't tell a slave owner
something bad about one
of the slaves.
That slave will curse you,
and you will be in trouble.
11 Some people curse their father
and even their mother;
Proverbs 30:9-11
New International Version
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown(A) you
and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’(B)
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.(C)
10 “Do not slander a servant to their master,
or they will curse you, and you will pay for it.
11 “There are those who curse their fathers
and do not bless their mothers;(D)
