Psalm 42:2-6

New International Version

² My soul thirsts^(A) for God, for the living God.^(B)
    When can I go^(C) and meet with God?
³ My tears^(D) have been my food
    day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”^(E)
4 These things I remember
    as I pour out my soul:^(F)
how I used to go to the house of God^(G)
    under the protection of the Mighty One^[a]
with shouts of joy^(H) and praise^(I)
    among the festive throng.^(J)
