Know you not that all we, who are baptized in Christ Jesus, are baptized in his death?

For we are buried together with him by baptism into death; that as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin may be destroyed, to the end that we may serve sin no longer.

For he that is dead is justified from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ:

Knowing that Christ rising again from the dead, dieth now no more, death shall no more have dominion over him.

10 For in that he died to sin, he died once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God:

11 So do you also reckon, that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized(A) into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death(B) in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead(C) through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.(D)

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.(E) For we know that our old self(F) was crucified with him(G) so that the body ruled by sin(H) might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin(I) because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.(J)

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.(K) For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead,(L) he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.(M) 10 The death he died, he died to sin(N) once for all;(O) but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin(P) but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
