11 Then all the people who were (A)at the gate and the elders said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, (B)who together (C)built up the house of Israel. May you act worthily in (D)Ephrathah and (E)be renowned in Bethlehem, 12 and may your house be like the house of Perez, (F)whom Tamar bore to Judah, because (G)of the offspring that the Lord will give you by this young woman.”

13 So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife. And he went in to her, (H)and the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son.

May you have standing in Ephrathah(D) and be famous in Bethlehem.(E) 12 Through the offspring the Lord gives you by this young woman, may your family be like that of Perez,(F) whom Tamar(G) bore to Judah.”

13 So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. When he made love to her, the Lord enabled her to conceive,(H) and she gave birth to a son.(I)
