Kanu waa sabuur gabay ah oo loo tiriyey madaxdii muusikaystayaasha.

66 Dadka dhulka oo dhammow, Ilaah farxad ugu qayliya,
Oo ammaanta magiciisa ku gabya,
Ammaantiisana qurxiya.
Ilaah waxaad ku tidhaahdaan, Shuqulladaadu cabsi badanaa!
Weynaanta xooggaaga aawadiis ayaa cadaawayaashaadu isugu kaa dhiibi doonaan.
Dadka dhulka oo dhammu adigay ku caabudi doonaan,
Wayna kuu gabyi doonaan,
Magacaagay u gabyi doonaan. (Selaah)
Bal kaalaya, oo arka shuqullada Ilaah,
Xagga binu-aadmiga wuxuu ku sameeyey waa cabsi badan yihiin.
Wuxuu baddii ka dhigay dhul engegan,
Oo iyagu webiga dhexdiisa waxay ku mareen lug,
Oo halkaasaan isaga ku rayraynay.
Isagu weligiisba wuxuu ku taliyaa xooggiisa,
Oo indhihiisuna waxay fiiriyaan quruumaha,
Haddaba caasiyiintu yaanay kor isu qaadin. (Selaah)
Dadyahow, Ilaaheenna ammaana,
Oo codka ammaantiisa ha la maqlo,
Kaasoo nafteenna nolol ku haya,
Oo cagaheennana aan u oggolayn in la dhaqdhaqaajiyo.
10 Waayo, Ilaahow, adigu waad na imtixaantay,
Oo waxaad noo tijaabisay sida lacagta loo tijaabiyo.
11 Waxaad na gelisay shabagga dabinka ah,
Oo waxaad simaha naga saartay culaab weyn.
12 Dad baad madaxa naga saartay,
Oo waxaannu dhex galnay dab iyo biyo,
Laakiinse ugudambaysta waxaad na keentay meel barwaaqo ah.
13 Haddaba anigu gurigaaga waxaan la soo geli doonaa allabaryo la gubo,
Oo waxaan kuu oofinayaa nidarradaydii
14 Bushimahaygu ay ku hadleen,
Oo afkaygu sheegay markii aan dhibaataysnaa.
15 Oo waxaan allabaryo la gubo kuugu soo bixinayaa xoolo buurbuuran
Iyo wanan iyo fooxood,
Oo waxaan kuu soo bixin doonaa dibiyo iyo orgiyo. (Selaah)
16 Kulli intiinna Ilaah ka cabsataay, kaalaya oo maqla,
Oo waxaan sheegayaa wuxuu naftayda u sameeyeye.
17 Isagaan afkayga ugu qayshaday,
Oo waxaan ku ammaanay carrabkayga.
18 Haddaan dembi qalbigayga ku arkay,
Sayidku ima uu maqleen,
19 Laakiinse sida runta ah Ilaah waa i maqlay,
Oo codkii baryadaydana dhegtuu u dhigay.
20 Mahad waxaa leh Ilaaha
Aan baryadayda diidin oo aan naxariistiisana gees iga marin.

Psalm 66

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!(A)
    Sing the glory of his name;(B)
    make his praise glorious.(C)
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!(D)
    So great is your power
    that your enemies cringe(E) before you.
All the earth bows down(F) to you;
    they sing praise(G) to you,
    they sing the praises of your name.”[a]

Come and see what God has done,
    his awesome deeds(H) for mankind!
He turned the sea into dry land,(I)
    they passed through(J) the waters on foot—
    come, let us rejoice(K) in him.
He rules forever(L) by his power,
    his eyes watch(M) the nations—
    let not the rebellious(N) rise up against him.

Praise(O) our God, all peoples,
    let the sound of his praise be heard;
he has preserved our lives(P)
    and kept our feet from slipping.(Q)
10 For you, God, tested(R) us;
    you refined us like silver.(S)
11 You brought us into prison(T)
    and laid burdens(U) on our backs.
12 You let people ride over our heads;(V)
    we went through fire and water,
    but you brought us to a place of abundance.(W)

13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings(X)
    and fulfill my vows(Y) to you—
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
    when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
    and an offering of rams;
    I will offer bulls and goats.(Z)

16 Come and hear,(AA) all you who fear God;
    let me tell(AB) you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
    his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
    the Lord would not have listened;(AC)
19 but God has surely listened
    and has heard(AD) my prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
    who has not rejected(AE) my prayer
    or withheld his love from me!

Footnotes

  1. Psalm 66:4 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verses 7 and 15.

66 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
