2 a minister in the holy places, in (A)the true tent[a] that the Lord (B)set up, not man. 3 For (C)every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; thus (D)it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer. 4 Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law. 5 They serve (E)a copy and (F)shadow of the heavenly things. For when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, (G)“See that you make everything according to the pattern that was shown you on the mountain.”

2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle(A) set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being.
3 Every high priest(B) is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices,(C) and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.(D) 4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already priests who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.(E) 5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy(F) and shadow(G) of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned(H) when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”[a](I)
