That this word is a name can be proved by the reply of the angel of the Lord to Manoah who had asked his name, “Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret” (Judg. 13:18)? The word for secret is “wonderful,” and the same word in the next verse, “wonderously.”

Is not Christ wonderful in all His works, ways and words? As we meditate upon His wonderful grace and contemplate His wonderful government we can truly say, “The world has never seen His like—and never will!”
