b. Love as well as knowledge (14:13-23)

We know that all foods are clean; therefore, we may eat them. If, however, eating should cause the weaker Christian to stumble, we should abstain from eating in public. This is the principle of love. Those who have the knowledge and are strong in faith are blessed. They may enjoy their freedom in privacy (v.22). But the weak in the faith will experience self-condemnation if they eat (v.23).
