Solomon’s most well-known characteristic, his wisdom, is the focus of the second part of this chapter. Solomon tells God that he needs divinely inspired insight to govern the nation. The Lord vows to grant this unselfish request and also to bestow unsurpassed wealth and honor on Solomon.
